With over 15 years of experience teaching Business and IT courses at both the high school and college levels, Dr. Smith is a passionate educator, curriculum designer, and mentor dedicated to shaping the future of CTE. As the architect of the IT program at the local high school in Columbia, SC, Dr. Smith played a pivotal role in guiding hundreds of students toward obtaining industry-recognized certifications, setting them up for success in the workforce.
Beyond the classroom, Dr. Smith has been a featured presenter at state and national conferences, sharing expertise on technology integration and curriculum development. Her innovative teaching approach has been highlighted at state conferences, showcasing best practices in CTE education. As a certified mentor for new teachers, she has also provided invaluable support to educators entering the field, helping them navigate curriculum design, classroom management, and industry partnerships.
